Who we are
YouTu Travel designs and operates private, tailor-made journeys in China. This page explains, in plain language, what we do with the information you choose to send us.
What we collect
Beyond the technical data described below, we only receive what you send us yourself:
- Through our contact form or WhatsApp: your name, contact details and the travel plans you describe, so that we can reply with a proposal or an itinerary.
- Through the travel story submission on our journal: your name, your email address, the story you write and any photos you choose to upload.
Technical data received automatically. Like any website, our server receives some data with every request: your IP address, the string your browser uses to identify itself (user-agent), the page you asked for and, if you followed a link, the page you came from. We use this only to deliver the page, keep the site secure and diagnose faults. Our web server’s access logs are rotated daily and deleted after 14 days. Our traffic also passes through Cloudflare, our content-delivery and security provider, which processes it on our behalf to filter attacks and speed up delivery. This data is never used to identify you, to build a profile, or to follow you across other websites.
Why we use it
To answer your enquiry, to prepare your proposal or itinerary, and – when you submit a travel story – to review it and, if we publish it, to credit it to the name you gave us. Your email address is never published and is used only to contact you about your submission.
What we do not do
We do not sell, rent or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not create customer accounts, build browsing profiles, or run advertising or analytics trackers on this website.
Language suggestion. If you arrive on the English site, your browser may check the time zone set on your device in order to offer you the Italian version of the site. This check runs entirely inside your browser: the result is never sent to us and we cannot see it. If you dismiss the suggestion, your choice is remembered by your own browser (local storage) and never reaches our servers; clearing your browser data removes it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept only for as long as we need them to handle your trip and to keep our normal business records. Travel stories stay in our editorial queue until we review them, and remain published only for as long as you are happy for them to be.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to show you what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it – including removing a published story and its photos. Simply write to us through our contact page and we will act on it.
